Refund & Return Policy

This Refund & Return Policy applies to purchases made on Study Scene (studyscene.co.za), operated by Study Scene ("we", "us", "our"). Study Scene provides digital educational services — including access to courses, exam papers, study notes, AI study tools, and study credits — delivered online. Because our products are digital and access is granted immediately upon successful payment, the terms below explain when refunds are and are not available.

Study Scene sells digital subscriptions and credit-based access to study materials and AI tools. There are no physical goods shipped, so there is nothing to physically return. "Returns" in the context of our service means cancelling a subscription so that it does not renew. Please note that once a file has been downloaded to your device, it is permanently in your possession and cannot be returned — downloaded materials are therefore not refundable.

• Subscription plans (e.g. weekly, monthly, yearly, or other packages) are billed in advance for the period you select.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. When you cancel, your access remains active until the end of the current paid billing period, after which it will not renew and you will not be charged again.
• Cancelling stops future renewals but does not, by itself, trigger a refund for the current period (see "Refund Eligibility" below).

As our content and AI tools are made available immediately upon payment, all sales are generally final. However, we want you to be treated fairly. You may be eligible for a refund in the following cases:

• Duplicate or accidental charge: You were charged more than once for the same subscription, or a charge was made in error.
• Failure to deliver: A technical fault on our side prevented you from accessing the service you paid for, and we were unable to resolve it within a reasonable time.
• Unauthorised transaction: A payment was made without your authorisation (subject to verification).
• Early request: You request a refund within 48 hours of purchase and have not downloaded any paid materials or made substantial use of the paid features (for example, generating AI results). Where only part of your purchase has been downloaded, any refund considered will exclude the downloaded items.

• Downloaded materials: Any exam paper, marking scheme, study note, summary, or other file that has already been downloaded cannot be refunded. Once a file has been downloaded it cannot be returned or recalled, so the sale of that item is final — regardless of when the refund is requested or whether you go on to read or use the file.
• Change of mind after you have accessed, downloaded, or used the paid content or AI tools.
• Credits that have already been consumed by the AI study tools.
• Partial or unused time remaining on a subscription period after normal use.
• Failure to cancel before an automatic renewal, where the service remained available to you.

To request a refund, email admin@studyscene.co.za from the email address linked to your account, including:

• Your account email and full name;
• The date of the transaction and the amount paid;
• The payment method / reference used; and
• A brief description of the reason for your request.

We aim to acknowledge refund requests within 2 business days and to resolve approved refunds within 7–14 business days. Approved refunds are made to the original payment method used for the purchase.

Refunds are processed through the same payment provider used for the original transaction. The time it takes for the funds to reflect in your account depends on your bank or payment provider and is outside our control.

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first so we can resolve it quickly. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may result in your account being suspended pending investigation.

We may update this Refund & Return Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the "last updated" date below will be revised. Your continued use of Study Scene after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
